At Zylux, we take our ESG responsibilities seriously. We strive to create a diverse, non-discriminatory, and open culture. What matters most is our employees’ happiness, and ensuring they have the right tools to excel and succeed on behalf of all our current and future partners.

Since 2017, we have been seeing our carbon footprint drop year-on-year. This was initially driven by customer requests for our products to incorporate increasing amounts of sustainable material. More recently, over the last 2 years, we have been actively driving and managing our environmental impact independent of customer requests. We recognize that it is the right things to do. In addition to actively working with our suppliers, and ensuring all executive management are aligned on the goals, we have also been supplementing our internal efforts with annual purchase of carbon offsets from Climeworks ( www.climeworks.com ).

One step closer to GREEN

Zylux Vietnam factory has installed phase 1 solar power system with total estimated output 783,000 kWh of electricity per year
–  60% - 100% electricity consumption in our Vietnam campus, which will help avoid carbon emission 600 metric tons CO2e per year.

Phase 2 solar panel installation will be triggered upon production capacity expansion demand, the total avoided carbon emission will reach to 820 metric tons CO2e annually.

Solar Power starts operation from 2023

We are still in a learning phase in terms of fully understanding and implementing best practices. However, we have already seen our carbon impact ( particularly Scope 1 and Scope 2 ) reduced by over 1000 metric tons or in excess of 23% across the last 5 years. There is more to do – our overall goal is to reach carbon neutrality in the coming years.
